Safi

In cash on delivery, a sale is only a promise until the parcel is paid at the door. Safi runs the shop from the order to the money, and is learning to confirm orders on WhatsApp, in Darija.

The problem

A buyer fills a form on a Facebook ad. Nothing is paid. Someone has to call to confirm, ship, chase the carrier for the cash, and absorb the parcels that come back refused. The seller pays the shipping both ways.

The confirmation calls take the most hours. Buyers miss them, then answer on WhatsApp in Darija: Arabic, French and Berber mixed, typed in Latin letters. A general chatbot reads that badly, and a wrong yes ships a parcel nobody will pay for.

How it works

  1. 01code

    The order comes in

From the seller’s sales page, with the commune written the way the carrier expects it.

  2. 02code

    WhatsApp asks to confirm

A message with the product, the price and the town, sent the moment the order lands.

  3. 03AI

    The AI reads the reply

In Darija, French or Arabic: a yes, a new day, a new address, or a maybe.

  4. 04code

    Code applies it

Confirms, moves the delivery, or checks the new address before anything ships.

  5. 05person

Anything unclear goes to a person

A maybe is never a yes. It drops into the agent’s call queue.

Inside the tool

Illustrations drawn by us, with made-up orders. The WhatsApp reading is the AI layer we are building now. The risk alert and the profit view work in Safi today.

applied by code · nothing ships on a maybe
Two replies, two outcomes. A clear yes with a new day is applied on its own. “I’ll check with my husband” is not a yes, so it goes to a person.

Where the AI is, and where the code is.

The model does the reading. Code checks everything it produces before anyone relies on it.

AI does

  • Reads replies in Darija, French or Arabic and works out what the buyer wants.
  • Pulls a new day or a new address out of a casual message.
  • Says when it is not sure, instead of guessing a yes.

{ code does }

  • Never ships an order without a clear yes. A maybe goes to a person.
  • Checks a new address against the carrier’s own list of communes before it is saved.
  • Flags a buyer who refused parcels at other shops, before the parcel leaves.
  • Computes real profit per product after cost, returns and ads.

Where it stands

Safi is live and works end to end: sales pages, order confirmation, shipping with the carriers, buyer risk alerts and real profit. It has no sellers on it yet.

The WhatsApp side is already wired: Safi can send the message and match the reply to its order. The AI that reads the reply is the piece we are building now.
